This BIG (garden) spider was on my house door jamb in my backporch tonight! I live in South Carolina,neR Rock Hill, just south of Charlotte, NC and it has still been quite warmon our last day of Sept...he gave me quite a scare, he would have beencrushed had i closed the door, so i took a broom and shook him out on to the deck...i didnt see a web
