We’re living in this area for 3 years and this is the first time I saw this kind of spider. I couldn’t find anything about it. Can you help me to identify it? Is it poisonous?
Hi. this is one of the very harmless orb weavers, Araneidae family, Araneus marmoreus species called marbled orb weavers.
Been a few years since I have found one, guess you are getting all the cool spiders.
The fat orange ones are affectionately called pumpkin spiders, look to be toting a tiny pumpkin.
One nearly has to force orb weavers to bite, and then, it is insignificant. My take, they don’t bite.
