Cross Orb Weaver
It sits on its web just outside of my window, in the light of a lamp I have close by. It's grown a lot since I first discovered it. When I initially sighted it, the arachnid was maybe the size of a penny, now it's abdomen is approximately the size of a nickel.

Hi, this is an Araneus diadematus. The common name is cross orbweaver. The females can grow quite large compared to the males.
