Photo taken by photographer friend in the Butterfly Pavilion at the Desert Botanical Garden. We thought it might be a yellow and black garden spider, but the colors are reversed.

Maybe Castianeira longipalpa? What do you think?
It is not the spider frequently called the Black & Yellow Garden Spider (Argiope aurantia). It looks more like the Western Spotted Orb Weaver, Neoscona oaxacensis.
