I first saw this spider about two weeks ago on a web, but unfortunately I didn't take a picture until today after the bush that it was on was trimmed. Now the web is gone, but the spider was still in that vicinity on my garage wall.

I believe its species is Gasteracantha cancriformis based on other pictures I’ve seen.

Very identifiable. Don’t usually see them out of the web. Except when I’m trying to take a picture and they bail out!
