I believe it was dead in the middle of my driveway
I did notice a flying bug of some kind dragging it
I guess it was to heavy to get flown away I went in the house after taking pic and came out 15 minutes later and it was gone

Hi. The spider is as harmless as it is scary looking, it is what is left of a dark fishing spider, Dolomedes tenebrosus species. The bug trying to carry it likely a spider wasp, they prey on spiders. Saved a fishing spider from one, even like this(what I call hunkered down), still alive. Gave it water with a q-tip, 2 days later she could fend for herself and let her go.
