Is this spider venomous?
Hi. Yes, they are all venomous, but in this family, their venom is too mild to have much effect,if any.
That is on the presumption you could force one to bite.
Like a mild bee sting worst case.
I have handled loads of orb weavers, maybe all found in north America and never bitten by a one.
A black and yellow garden spider tried, my bad gently touching a web, the spider mistook my finger for a bug.
They don’t see well and rely on feel.
