Comments & ID Thoughts

Does anyone know what type of spider this is/if it's poisonous? I brought in my mail and put it on the couch and was going through it when THAT popped out. Not sure if it is local or if it survived traveling through the mail? We didn't kill it, just bought it outside. I'm selecting that we found it "indoors" though I'm pretty sure it was in my mailbox and I unknowingly carried it in. Thank you very much in advance!

Hi, this is a Tan Jumping Spider, Platycryptus undatus. Like most spiders they have venom but are unlikely to bite except in self-defense, and are not considered to be of medical significance. 🙂
