Comments & ID Thoughts

Spider was found in pantry under a plastic shelf. Also had 2 white small balls. Found other white balls under the cabinets when I ran a mirror underneath to see what was there....Please help can take better pic if needed!!!!

Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 This is a Triangulate Cobweb Weaver (Steatoda triangulosa). They’re nothing to worry over. They are common indoors and as long as they’re out of sight I don’t mind having these around the house as they’ll prey on less desirable things. The fluffy balls were likely egg-sacs.

Note to admin.: species page still needed for S. triangulosa.

I’d be more concerned over what it was preying on in the pantry.
