I thought maybe an orb weaver but a photo taken of the 'face' shows a healthy set of fangs.

Found this beauty on my driveway (I live in the prairies, southern Alberta Canada) after unloading a shipment of lumber. I have more pics from all angles. A pic of the ‘face’ shows it’s genitalia and a good set of fangs. Abdomen is about the size of a nickel and leg length approx 2cm. I would love to know what species this is. I though orb weaver but have never seen one like this.

Hi, it may be a shamrock orbweaver. They don’t do much fang work, they’re web spiders mostly, as opposed to the type that more actively hunt.
