Comments & ID Thoughts
I'm an ex-pat living in Uruguay, and my mother and I found this spider on our back step. It is missing one of its legs, unfortunately, but all other body parts are present. I've searched several identification guides and can't find a thing. Thank you.

Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 This is an arachnid, but not a spider. This is a Harvestman (Opiliones). I don’t know how to ID them but a quick google search of “harvestman Uruguay” seems to have given me the answer. It might be Paramphere bimaculatus.

Note to admin.: holding bin needed for Harvestmen.
Oh, I had no clue! Thank you so much, and I appreciate the speedy and informative reply!! I searched the harvestman, and I got a ton of results that look similar. And at least now I know where to go when I need a (real) spider identification!!
You’re welcome! 🙂
