Hi, this is a Hentz Orb-weaver, Neoscona crucifera. 🙂
Is she harmless, should I move her away from the house
Like most spiders they have venom but are unlikely to bite except in self defense. Unless she’s blocking a door/walkway she should be fine left as is and will prey on less desirable bugs … if she’s somewhere undesirable I’d move her.
They’re not considered to be of medical significance.
