Comments & ID Thoughts
I am guessing it is an Silver Argiope (argiope argentata). This is was taken in Encinitas, California today, October 7, 2018. I have no idea if it is a female but not sure. It was found on the outside the house on a man made concrete hardie board with a size 1"x 4" that was stored in the shade on the side of the house. This is a close up shot, and the body (not including legs) was about a 1/4".
