Comments & ID Thoughts
Biggest spider I’ve seen in Oregon in 10+ years. It walked across my garage floor lifted up like a tarantula walks. It has what looks like two to three equals signs on its backside. It’s at least as big as a quarter of not a fifty cent piece when walking. It is flighty when captured but doesn’t climb up wall of glass container.
It appears translucent t like orange brown.

Please help identify this spider for us. Someone thinks it’s a weaver? Harmless or venomous!?? Thanks!
Like most spiders they have venom but are unlikely to bite except in self defense and are not considered to be of medical significance.
Hi, this looks like a Folding-door Spider (Antrodiaetus sp.). 🙂
I’m in Redmond and we have found 6 of these HUGE things in the last month!
