My buddy just built a new home and it just rained and he had 5 of these on his back patio. He was trying to identify what kind of spider it is. Any suggestions?
We have recently found two of these spiders (identical) in our kitchen and back patio. I’ve found them around my barn area too. I believe I submitted a picture for identification a few years back and someone mentioned “Mother of the Earth”, however I cannot find anything by Google for a spider by that name. Interested too! Clarifying my last post….in researching others, it looks to be a Red Folding Trap Door spider. More info here: https://www.insectidentification.org/insect-description.asp?identification=Red-Folding-Door-Trapdoor-Spider
