Comments & ID Thoughts
I was startled by this spider, while cleaning out my bedroom closet! Living in a remote historical house on a horse ranch, I'm kind of used to seeing spiders and a variety of other critters and animals wander through or into our house. I vacuum the house spiders and their webs a couple of times a week, but occasionally I see a few large and intimidated variety like this one. I suspect it's either a wolf spider or grass spider. Hopefully not a hobo spider! Especially mixed with my clothes and shoes! I managed to kill it with wasp killing spray. It didn't die quickly like the wasps do either! This is also a bit alarming and causes worry, because the one photographed is very small compared to some of the others I've encountered. If anyone can help id this spider, I would be grateful! Thank you! BD
BTW: I took pics while it was still alive. I will try to upload all of the pics I took.
