Comments & ID Thoughts
Found this spider in my hotel room this morning in Ballantyne, Charlotte, NC. Wasn’t concerned but a coworker was bitten by a brown recluse in the same hotel last week and had to undergo two surgeries. Can anyone help me identify this?

Hi, this is a male False Black Widow (Steatoda grossa). 🙂
Also of note, unless your co-worker saw the spider that bit him/her collected or photographed it and had it IDed by someone knowledgeable odds are the wound was attributable to some other cause: http://spiders.ucr.edu/necrotic.html
