i think this is in Araneidae family. the genus maybe the Araneus.

I only see the Americas listed for Eustala. This one is from Malaysia.

I need to take a closer look at the options when I have more time.
but its also not listed in Malaysia.
It’s listed as being on the right continent though. Eriovixia laglaizei: “India, Bangladesh, China to Philipines, New Guinea”, I think that includes Malaysia. The World Spider Catalog lists the one I linked to as a possibility (Eriovixia excelsa) as being from places surrounding Malaysia, “India, Pakistan, China, Taiwan, Philippines, Indonesia”. Those lists don’t always reflect the full range of a species. I doubt the species would have that wide spread a range but for some reason want avoid settling in Malaysia. 🙂
