This is not a spider, but a member of the order opiliones, or harvestman, or commonly known as “daddy-long-legs.” They are of the class arachnida, or arachnids. Spiders are arachnida, but under the order aranea. I have had this type of opiliones in my back yard, so I would assume they are still there. Sometimes found in bunches. They are harmless. I have heard that they are harmless because their mouth parts are too small to bite a human, although they are venomous, but this may be urban myth.
