Spider has been outside my house in northern New Jersey for three weeks now. Builds a web and is out mainly at night. Not visible during the day.

Hi, this is one of the Spotted Orb-weavers (Neoscona), likely Hentz Orb-weaver (Neonscona crucifera) which is very common this time of year. I can’t be sure it’s not one of the others from this angle though. 🙂
