My initial reaction to seeing this spider was that it was a mouse. Then I realized it was a spider going up the side the bottom of our chicken coop. It is approximately 3 inches across. My best guess is it is an H. carolinensis, Carolina Wolf Spider. I would appreciate knowing if my guess it right.

I do not know for sure what this spider is. We found it yesterday as we were cleaning our chicken coop. It was “helping”. It is HUGE. At least 3 inches across. In the picture it is below the door to one of the nests. They are each 12 inches wide.
Hi, this looks like a Tiger Wolf Spider, Tigrosa aspersa. 🙂
But she is larger than the description of this species.
Spider measurements don’t include legs. This is a relatively big species.
