Can anyone identify this spider that’s currently living outside of our house on Oahu?

Hi, this is an Orb-weaver (Araneidae). Looks like Neoscona theisi. I’ll make a page for it so it can be filed later today. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
Any downfall to having this spider around the house? With kids? Thanks for your help!
They are not considered to be of medical significance and are unlikely to bite except in self-defense. They may prey on less desirable things and help to keep the insect population in check.
