Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 Unfortunately there isn’t enough detail here for me to give you an ID. Might be a Wolf Spider (Lycosidae)… Might be a Hacklemesh Weaver (Amaurobiidae)… Might be something else. I at least don’t recognize it as something medically significant though I wouldn’t want whatever it is in my bed, not medically significant isn’t to say a self defense bite from one wouldn’t hurt if you rolled on to it. If this is something that frequently happens you can reduce the number of spiders you see indoors by sealing cracks around floors, doors, windows, foundation… Read more »
Thank you for the suggestions @ItsyBitsy, I’m not an expert but from doing research on the web, seeing similar bite marks. I believe this to be a Black Lace-Weaver (I could be wrong). Some more notes we couldn’t find any webs, they were located only on our comforter/blanket.
I can add higher quality pictures from the set that was taken last night here if needed, also I think the mobile upload slightly lowered the quality of the photo and it only let me upload one photo per post on iOS.
The spider can’t be identified from the bite marks, but a Black Lace Weaver (Amaurobius ferox) is what I was thinking when I suggested Amaurobiidae, that is what family they are in. The site is new and still being built, only single images can be uploaded so far but linking images is on the administrator’s to-do list. If you have a better image, sure feel free to upload it.
