You’re right, this is an Orb-weaver. Looks like Araneus andrewsi. 🙂

These cool guy live in Arkansas, and Missouri as well, all through the Ozarks region. They start coming out in April disappear late October or early November, typically around the first freeze in autumn, and roughly 10 to 14 days after last freeze they reamerge
