New web today. Outside of my bedroom window. Same pace to was yesterday. There are tiny little baby spiders. Only 1/2 the size of a baby fruit fly!

Hi, that is an interesting angle you got a photo of her in! From this angle she looks like a woman dancing on a tropical island. I think she’s a mabel orchard orbweaver
Thank you for your reply! I believe I’ll name her Mabel. I have another interesting shot of her underside. I will try to figure out how to post it. She also had a little tiny tiny baby on her way a few weeks ago but I can no longer see it. I never could get a good clear shot of it unfortunately.

Mabel Orchid Orb Weaver
Thanks! Her babies may begone because orbweaver babies can fly! The spiderlings and some adult spiders calculate air currents and put out a strand of web that catches the wind and they can fly for miles. I think I read that Charles Darwin was puzzled by the sudden appearance of spiders on his boat in the middle of the ocean. It was a long time before people learned that spiders can do this and they can go quite a long distance.
