I am not sure what this little guy is. I found him in Towson, MD hanging from his web trying to get in my car window. He looked like he was staring to spin a web between my driver side mirror and door. I have been googling to try to figure out what kind of spider he is (I’ve never seen a spider like this before). My only guess would be some type of orb spider, but I’m not sure! If anyone knows I would really love to know! Also I keep calling him a guy but he could really be a she I’m not sure!

Hi, you’re right, she’s an orbweaver. Araneus saveus is my thought for the species. We get a lot of photos of orbweavers from around the world, but I don’t remember ever seeing one myself until this year.
