Comments & ID Thoughts

I am rebuilding my renters deck and have ran accross many many different kinds of spider. When this one crawled up on my glove I kinda took interest on wanting to know all the species I have seen . So I will start with this.. is it a CAT FACED SPIDER?

No, but close. It is a Garden Cross Spider, Araneus diadematus, in the same family Araneidae. The white cross-shaped pattern at the front of the abdomen is distinct in this species.
