Yes, this is the Golden Silk Orb Weaver, Nephila clavipes, in the family Araneidae.
Hi, it could be Nephila clavata, a Joro Spider. It is a new invasive species in Georgia from Asia. See the dorsal photo also please. The ventral colors are different. N. clavata has black in the pattern.
