Comments & ID Thoughts

Brown Recluse ? I compared photos of brown recluses and it looks like it but maybe a young one. The spider was near a wooded state park in North Philadelphia (Benjamin Rush State Park) .Also it was very aggressive, like it would raise it's front legs when I got close with my camera.

This is a male of one of the Crab Spiders in the family Thomisidae. They are not really aggressive, but at ambush predators that grab prey with their front legs when they walk by. They have very poor eyesight so respond to any movement near them by raising the front legs to get ready to grab insect prey if it comes close enough. It was likely just responding to seeing the movement of your camera near it.
