Comments & ID Thoughts

I found this spider while moving some boxes of tile from my garage moving out of the house. There were actually several of them including adults and spiderlings. I'm wondering if it is a black widow or a false black widow. I'm nearly positive it is one or the other.

Hi, I think your little Halloween surprise was a female False Widow, possibly Steatoda grossa. They’re not bad, they kill less desirable spiders and insects.
