Comments & ID Thoughts

My wife and I have lived in our condo for over 2 years now without a single spider siting (not including our garage which btw is directly below our kitchen). So our cat, who never goes into the kitchen, walked in there which immediately got my attention. I eventually walked in to find this large arachnid moving quickly across the floor. It was roughly 1.25-1.75" in length. Also, similar to those tiny jumping spiders, this guy would constantly reposition itself as I moved around it so that I was always in its line of site. That's something I've never see from a spider this large. After doing some investigating, I'm 70% sure this is a Wolf Spider. Can anyone confirm that? And should I avoid handling it?
