This is on my bedroom ceiling near my light. Before he/she showed up, I had a lot of Granddaddy Long Legs there. After he/she showed they disappeared, but today there are a few back and the Granddaddy Long Legs want to attack this lone spider.

I can’t get a good clear picture. This picture looks like it has a line down it’s back, but when just looking at it. I don’t see the line.
Hi, it could be Latrodectus hesperus, a Western black widow. I had a lot of cellar spiders AKA/daddy long legs, until a spider in this family, Theridiidae, showed up. Then a long-legged sac spider, Cheiracanthum mildei, showed up and I found the dead exoskeleton of the false widow very soon afterwards. Spiders have a lot of deadly competition amoungst themselves. And yes, the spiders in Theridiidae can look quite different between photos and looking directly at them.
