Araneus illaudatus? Texas orbweaver. I haven’t seen one before, but I haven’t seen your spider before, so maybe it could be a match.

That picture! That spider! It looks like a baby’s head has been attached by Dr Frankenstein.
I just had the same spider making a web from my eaves in NJ. The coloring was medium brown with a big black dot on the bulb. No Baby Finster face on mine 😀
