Found this in a child's play area. Is it dangerous? Almost looks like a black widow. Did have a design on back but not red...more of a tan color.

Found in a clean garage that is completely sheetrocked, in a kid’s carpeted play area on a toy.
I could be wrong, It might be a black lace-weaver. It does not normally bite, when it does, it’s reported to be quite painful, with slight nausea. Just let it back outdoors and your kids will be safe. :#
Thanks for finding that! Some of the pics of that spider’s back markings do look like the one I found. Would it make sense to find that spider in California?
