Comments & ID Thoughts
This spider was (and is as I type this) walking around on my computer monitor. I even have a video of it chasing my cursor! My initial guess is Maevia inclemens, Dimorphic Jumper.

“Found in web?” should be know. I thought I has selected that and I see no way to edit my submission.
Hi, I think your identification is correct, dimorphic jumper, Maevia inclemens.
We know the website needs upgrades, sorry about that. That is really cool that you could play with the spider with the cursor! Jumping spiders are really popular because they’re cute (check out the photos of them online where they are in the air). They’re docile too. Some people keep them as pets. They first one I found, a bold jumper, patiently let me move him around for photo angles. I like the very royal red, black, and gold of yours.
Thank you for confirming the ID and I’m glad you like the image. It was really cool to have the spider chasing the cursor. I too have photographed bold jumpers although they didn’t let me pose them!
