Comments & ID Thoughts
I've been having a lot of weird looking spiders in my home lately. I thought this might be an orb weaver or something but my boyfriend stomped it before I could see it as it was in our bedroom on our floor and he freaked.

Pictures first, smooshing afterwards (if you must) is best when trying to ID spiders. Most spiders are very harmless, meaning there’s no sense in killing them. If I were to take a wild guess, I’d say a stealthy ground spider, but since there isn’t an abdomen for viewing it’s too hard to tell.
I’m thinking ground as well. I thought my bf was stomping on a centipede or water bug from how hard he was stomping. It wasn’t until he lifted his sandal that I saw it was a spider. Thanks!
My guess is this is either a woodlouse hunter or a ground spider (as Trahearne said).
