The closest thing I have found is a clown spider but it didn’t have the tall golden crown whatever that is.
Hi, the tall golden crown is the spider’s abdomen. Orbweaver spiders, like this one spend most of their time facing downwards (upside down) to watch for predators and prey that mostly come from below. It is a golden silk weaver. The genus is Nephila, the species may be Nephila clavipes. The web silk is actually golden colored. It is easier to tell the color when there is a lot of it bundled together. Google ‘ gold silk spider cape’ to see what it looks like if you bother to bundle silk from millions of these spiders (please don’t do that!!)
Thank you!
Based on recent limited research on one of my photos, best guess is Nephila clavipes. Almost definitely a Nephila.
Thanks
