Possibly found on bricks May 2018 Tacoma Washington I just wish I’d known about this site earlier spider ID I mean I seen a lot of cool spiders here my wife thinks I’m crazy because I let a lot of them crawl on me I think they’re extremely fascinating and very misunderstood I never kill them in the house far to beneficial thank you for your comment
let me rephrase that I never kill them at all. Even if they are slightly poisonous parentheses venomous if they’re in the house I just move them outside
I knew what you meant….what kind of person would let spiders live in the house but go outside and kill them? Besides people who hire “lawn care” companies without thinking of the consequences of hiring someone to hose toxic pesticides around to kill everything that moves. I do have my own personal issues with these companies. One company that was spraying pesticides, artificial fertilizer, and herbicides on an adjacent property (a playground) deliberately hosed my three dogs’ faces with the chemicals when my dogs barked at them. That’s one thing…Anyhow, thank you for not killing spiders anywhere!
It looks like a giant house spider, Eratigena atrica.
