Comments & ID Thoughts
Amaurobius ferox, black lace weaver, female. They live in my basement between the stones in the foundation. They stay hidden unless the web is tugged. The webs are dark gray and flat over the wall and angled where the floor and wall meet. The edge of the web is twirled like a funnel web into a rope that continues into the crevice where the spiders wait.
