All spiders have some venom for killing prey and self defense. Most spiders aren’t dangerous though. They bite when they are in danger and it isn’t any worse than a bee sting. Most of us on this site played with spiders and other wildlife when we were kids. Fear of them is a learned response. A child can be taught to be curious and careful without the life-long generalized fear. looks like a grass spider, Agelenopsis
