Picture of unidentified spider

Comments & ID Thoughts

I am very unsure about this Lycosid. It was on the ground layer in someone's yard. That particular yard is home to many spiders including H. lenta, R. rabida, R. punctulata, and other Hogna species that I am really not sure of. I know what the dorsal markings on the abdomen of H. lenta look like, and though this is similar, it is not exact. The abdominal markings also remind me of H. carolinensis, but again, not exactly. So, I am clueless. Ideas? H. timuqua or possibly H. radiata.

Hi, she could be genus Tigrosa. You got a great photo of the eyes, but I don’t know if Hogna and Tigrosa are significantly different in eye arrangement.
