I don't know what kind of spider this is. It is on my kitchen window. I haven't seen it eat anything yet.

Hi, I think she’s Argiope argentata, an orbweaver type of spider. Nice photo! The zigzag webs are called stabilimentum. There are many theories on why orbweavers make them, there could be multiple benefits. In your photo the spider is in an X shape in the center of an X, which could disquise the spider to both predators and prey. Some Argiope, like Argiope trifasciata tend to put their legs and the stabilimentum in a straight line in the same axis as their abdomen.
