This spider has its web on the outside of my kitchen window. I've been watching it for several days now and haven't seen anything in its web. Don't have any idea as to what kind of spider this is. Came to this website hoping to find out.

The shape (not the purple color) looks like Argiope argentata, the silver orbweaver (she does look pretty cool in purple too).
Thank You. Although they are pretty nasty looking I don’t think they are harmful to humans so I will not wash my window for awhile. 🙂
