Was in web tunnel with trap door. Excavated the entire system and minimal damage. Stunning little thing. Was able to “regime” it of sorts. Lol.

So lovely. Anyone know the name?? Excavated from dirt pulled from intact funnel web
I cannot believe I had a Sydney Funnel Spider in my yard. I was able to pull the entire funnel out of the earth with the spider cuddled down at the base. Then includes a little lovely fellow to come out of it strap and have a crawl around on me so I proceeded to walk around the yard for about 20 minutes with a very lethargic very docile Sydney funnel web spider I can’t believe I still can’t believe that most poisonous spider in the world
Sydney Funnel Webs are native to Australia, which means this is most likely just a trap-door spider.
Well we had an outbreak of African hissing cockroaches a while back because someone discarded a few pets. It looked like a juvenile but let’s just hope you are correct !!
