I checked other posts and believe that this is a "false widow" Steatoda noblis. It has a 5 point star on the back.

My daughter found this spider inside the house slowly climbing the wall next to our front door. It doesn’t seem aggressive at all. I’ve been observing it for a few minutes and it has made a web inside its container and seems to clean its legs and antennas a lot.
Hi, I can’t tell from the photo. We need a direct photo of the spider’s back and one of its face if your camera can focus on it. I’m glad you’ve made it a pet to learn about rather than violently killing it. In my opinion, that sends an important message to kids and helps prevent needless fears. My father did the same kind of thing that you’re doing and that led to my career in Biology. He still has secret cellar spiders that he observes. Mom doesn’t need to know 😉

That’s funny. 😀
I agree this is very likely a Noble False Widow (Steatoda nobilis).
