It’s legs make it resemble a six robes golden web spider, or some mollusk spider, but it’s pigment is similar to neither, legs in back are progressively shorter, it hams protruding eyes detecting movement, and while it is capable of making a web, it is not versatile and has poor adherence to surfaces.

It is a Crab Spider, in the family Thomisidae.
Yup, definitely a crab spider. Did it have any colour (pinkish) on the side of it’s abdomen? If so, I would look at Misumena vatia, the goldenrod crab spider. If not, perhaps it’s closely related, maybe even a subspecies?
