I followed the World Spider Catalog on this one. Is constrictus ok, or is it going back to being longiceps again? (Interesting back legs!)
You are correct and that serves me right for not double-checking. Are you able to change that … or should it be deleted and I’ll re-submit it under the correct name? Some of my photos are older and were titled before some of the taxonomic changes … I will be more careful. 🙂
Not my night, too many ‘windows’ open … I see the name is now correct. Thank you.
Got it. No need to re-submit for that.
My sincere apologies. Even I make mistakes. The species identification for this photo is wrong. There are only two described Eucratoscelus species – E. constrictus (Kenya) achypus. While updating my own website photos, I found that the species in this photo is Eucratoscelus pachypus Schmidt & von Wirth, 1990, from Tanzania, East Africa, and not the former. This photo can be either be deleted, and I’ll report it, or it should be amended. Thank you and sorry about that. Rick
Updated, not a problem. Let me know if anything else needs adjusting. 🙂
Having a bad day … cat stepped on the keyboard and prematurely send my message below. The two Eucratoscelus species are – E. constrictus (Kenya) and E. pachypus (Tanzania).
Thank you for doing that. I will see if I can find and post the other of the two species, E. constrictus, for that taxon.
Thank you!
I’m not help here, but I wanna pet it it’s looks so fluffy 🙂
