Hi, it is a crab spider . Possibly a white-banded crab spider. The “white band” runs horizontally through the area of their eyes. The species name is Misumenoides formosipes. Crab spiders don’t use webs like other spiders do. They can change color to match the background and they align their body to match background linear patterns. The goal is to surprise prey that is often larger or more venomous than they are. The grab the prey with their first pair of legs and plunge their fangs in. They hold onto the prey tenaciously while their venom paralyzes it.
