I think this is a false black widow spider it was on a tool table in my shed in England, United Kingdom in January. I didn’t know we had them here but I looked it up on the web and it looks like it is. Can anyone confirm??
Yes, that looks like the False Widow Spider, Steatoda bipunctata, one of the Cob Web Weavers in the family Theridiidae.
It is Steatda grossa, one of the ‘false widows’in the Steatoda genus found in homes all over the world… they are harmless despite all the nonsense spread by the clueless tabloid media.
