I found this spider at 4.30m in my bed. I live in a thatched home next to a dam and we had just had 30mm of rain. I have more photographs if needed.

That looks like a Violin Spider. Many people get bitten in their beds whilst asleep by this spider. It’s bite should be considered a medical emergency.

Hi, this does look like a Recluse (aka Violin Spider). If you are concerned about it happening again you can reduce the odds of another one finding its way into bed by moving the bed a few inches away from the wall, double stick tape can be put around the legs of the bed, and keep the sheets from touching the floor.
